Hi,

Which web-editor and Java-editor are you using that is compatible with Tixi-language?

I have tried with NVU and Netbeans IDE to make some web-pages and applets. NVU is very limited and Netbeans IDE makes my computer crash when I try to run a simple applet.

The graph and bar applets in the HTML-examples on your website are looking fine and this is what I need, but I don't know how to edit or use them. This is not possible in the both editors I've got.

Can you set me back on track here?

Thanks,

Tom

There is no special "Tixi-language" (its just HTML and JavaScript), therefore all HTML editors should work.
The only "special" thing is the reference symbol "®" (Entity HTML: "®" or "®" XML: "®") to variables. We need the XML version of this entity. If you type in the entity manually, most WYSIWYG editors replace the "&" by "&". It should be possible to change this behaviour in the editors settings, or you write it directly in the HTML-Code.

NVU converts the "®" to "&req;" or "&#174", and i've found no way to change this behaviour. Therefore i can't recommend it with Tixi.
In most cases we just use windows notepad and copy&paste the elements of our "webtemplates" together.
If you need a professional tool with WYSIWYG functionality, we can recommend Adobe Dreamweaver.

We'd recommend to use the Google Chart API. It's easy to handle, because it's just a link to an image file, and you don't have to struggle with JavaScript.

Unfortunately most of the examples are in the german forum only.
The most interesting ones:
