With the Express E-Mail, Tixi modems are providing a new form of e-mail that does not require a provider. Unlike Internet e-mails that are not delivered directly and do not have a guaranteed period of validity, Express E-Mails are sent to the recipient directly via the telephone network without the need for a PC to be switched on. New messages are indicated on all Tixi devices by a red “Mail-In” LED.
Sending Messages and Data with Acknowledgments
The sender also receives a send acknowledgment. Like a fax, the receipt of the message or data transmission by the recipient is acknowledged, or a fault message is sent if the connection was not established or was faulty.
Security and Confidentiality
The privacy of communications in the telephone network is protected by legal requirements. Express E-Mails are therefore just as safe as messages sent by fax, phone and post.
Only requirement of Express E-Mails: Tixi modems at both ends.
